Why Men Judge Quickly & Women Judge with Efficiency

I found this research interesting. Maybe because it helps me defend the way I am as a man. If scientists say I am supposed to be this way, then it must be OK, right? RIGHT? Hello, is this thing on????

Maybe I Don't Want An African Grey After All

For years I've wanted an African Grey parrot. But until I can afford to properly care for one, I'll just dream... until now. This isn't an African Grey, but listen to how this parrot imitates the baby crying. It's amazing. My 6-month old doesn't cry much, and I enjoy that -- Not sure I could handle a parrot crying. Watch this video, it's entertaining:

A new survey by careerbuilder.com reveals that 34% of workers have been pranked in the office on April Fools' Day. Other findings:

- 42% of workers say despite the recession, they will still play office jokes this year because they feel people need comic relief in challenging times.

Here are the most memorable pranks in this year's survey:

1. When making morning coffee in break room, put a whole shaker of salt in it.
2. Put goldfish in the water cooler.
3. People were told to put their chairs on their desk before 10 a.m.
because pest control services would arrive then to set rodent traps.
4. Moved someone's entire office, including desk, computer, posters, wall
hangings and phone into the bathroom.
5. Everyone called in sick at five-minute intervals.
6. Crazy glued coffee cup to desk.
7. Wrapped everything in someone's cubicle in wrapping paper.
8. Had an outside supplier approach manager about wanting to hire all of
the people in our department.

Jesse James apologized yesterday for cheating on Sandra Bullock. He released a statement that read:

"There is only one person to blame for this whole situation, and that is me. It's because of my poor judgment that I deserve every bad thing that is coming my way. This has caused my wife and kids pain and embarrassment beyond comprehension and I am extremely saddened to have brought this on them. I am truly very sorry for the grief I have caused them. I hope one day they can find it in their hearts to forgive me."

Many are saying FoxNews was too harsh on the President during this interview about health care reform. What do you think?

Sometimes kids can do great things! One of the students at the school where my wife works is having his head shaved this weekend to raise money for childhood cancer research. If you have $1 or $10, it'd be awesome if you could support him in his efforts. It's awesome to see kids doing things like this. And, yes, my wife assures me that Nick is one of the GOOD kids. ;)

I love seeing video of TV reporters getting mad or frustrated when something goes wrong. It's funny, because in radio we're always live and un-scripted, so mistakes happen... often. But we deal with it OK... TV reporters? Not so much:

This Japanese man married his pillow over the weekend. I don't even wanna know...

Lindsay Lohan is suing e-Trade for using her FIRST name in this TV commercial. I personally think the hidden reference to her is hilarious, but to sue for use of your first name seems like a tough case. We'll see...

With all the news lately about the subzero weather and snow that the Midwest and East coast areas are experiencing, we shouldn't forget that California has its share of devastating weather also.

Below is a photo illustrating the excessive damage caused to a home from a West coast storm that passed through the Sacramento area last weekend.

It really makes you cherish what you have and reminds us not to take life for granted...

The Brazilian government is protesting Paris Hilton and speaking out against her because of this commercial. They say it's too sultry and sexy, which is funny coming from the country that has government POSTAGE STAMPS with bikini-clad ladies on them. But what government isn't hypocritical?

Every morning when I walk into the studio, Joey is singing along to some song in some strange way. So this morning I decided to take the camera with me to catch him doing what it would be today. (He returned the favor in a video just below this one)
