As part of the Broadway Sacramento series at the Community Center Theater, the "Million Dollar Quartet" is on stage through Sunday. Wow, what a show. I got a chance to see the opening performance last night. If you are not familiar with the story, this is a dramatization of an actual event that occured in December 1956. Johnny Cash, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins spent about 2 hours together, jamming in a studio. This show features some of the biggest hits of the 50s and covers not only rock and roll but gospel and country too. The music was performed incredibly well. I was jumping out of my seat. The "Million Dollar Quartet" is outstanding! You should go see it.
